Audet, Fraulino named to NSCAA Scholar Team

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University juniors Trevor Audet and David Fraulino have been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Scholar All-East Region Team.

Audet holds a 3.37 grade point average (GPA) as a double major in English and Communication Studies. He appeared in 15 games (nine starts) this season and recorded three points (1-1-3). Fraulino, meanwhile, is a Biology (Pre-Med) major with a 3.47 GPA. He played in 10 games, making two starts. Both student-athletes were named to the Honorable Mention squad.

"A few weeks ago when Sean (McAllister) was named to the ECAC New England All-Star Team, I thought then and there that it would be the first of several awards for this program," said Salve Regina head coach Craig O'Rourke II. "And now, I am overjoyed to see our young men's accomplishments in the classroom start to be recognized. Both Trevor and David are extremely deserving of this award as they are both tireless workers on and off the field. They have both been the 'gold standard' for this program academically and I am thrilled to see all of their hard work and determination recognized with an award such as this."

The pair was one of just four The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) student-athletes named to the team, joining Jason Sabia of Western New England (Third Team) and Ryan Tarr of the University of New England.

The Seahawks finished the regular season 11-7-1 (8-4-1 TCCC).
