KISSIMMEE, Fla. - Salve Regina University sophomore Andi Nelson (Candia, N.H.) pitched her second 1-0 complete-game victory in a span of five days and followed that with 4.2 innings of scoreless relief work as the Seahawks split their Thursday games at the Fortune Road Athletic Complex - a 1-0 win over Arcadia University and a 4-1 loss to Washington College.

Last Sunday, Nelson no-hit Finlandia University while walking just three batters; today, she stopped Arcadia on three hits with zero bases on balls.

The Seahawks and Knights posted scoreless frames into the sixth until Amanda Riley (Barrington, N.H.) singled with two outs and retreated to first base after a rundown. Lauren Packer (Manchester, Conn.) advanced her to second with a single to the right side. Maddie Machado (Westport, Mass.) grounded to short and Riley crossed in front of the infielder who made a clean catch, but could not force Packer at second or fire to first to get Machado. Riley did not stop at third and kept on running to cross home plate with the game's only run.

Washington College scored all of its runs in the bottom of the first off starter Julia Coute (North Dighton, Mass.) on three singles and two walks. Nelson took over with the eighth batter in the inning and recorded the final two outs of the frame and then pitched into the sixth before allowing back-to-back singles. Courtney Latta (Lowell, Mass.) finished the sixth with a pair of strikeouts.

Salve Regina scored its only run in the sixth inning of the second game also with two outs. Lindsey Florent (New Bedford, Mass.) singled and stole second before Riley drove a grounder through the middle for an RBI. The Seahawks complete their Florida schedule on Friday with a 6:30 p.m. meeting with Juniata College in Clermont.
