Saturday, January 6, 2018

Three Stars of the Game

  1. Nor'easter senior Sam MacDonald (Lebanon, N.H.) scored 18 points on seven of 12 from the floor including two 3-pointers; she was perfect (2-for-2) from the free-throw line while adding eight rebounds.

The Nor'easters then went on a 12-1 run over 4:48, capped by a 3-pointer from freshman Elyssa Nicholas (Southborough, Mass.). • Liv Pierce (Tyngsboro, Mass.) was second in scoring for the Seahawks (seven points) and shared game-high steal honors with MacDonald (four apiece).

Quotes
"The turnovers (21) were disappointing, but I was more disappointed with missed layups. And when I say 'layups,' these were open opportunities ... not being defended. We missed 18, that's 36 points." - Salve Regina head coach Cori Hughes
