O'Connell made 20 saves for the Seahawks in their 6-3 victory over Johnson & Wales and then made 54 stops versus #7 ranked Endicott College. The junior netminder also turned aside 41 shots from Connecticut College during a mid-week clash. In three games she recorded a .942 save percentage and surrendered seven goals to high-octane opponents.
"O'Connell has been the backbone of our defense," said head coach Beth McCann. "She is consistent and brings her best every time she steps on the ice."
Salve Regina (2-10, 1-5 NEHC) travels to face Nichols on Wednesday, December 6 at 5:40 p.m., in a non-conference matchup.
