Clancy, Duggan earn CCC weekly honors

NEWPORT, R.I. - Junior Megan Clancy (Chelmsford, Mass.) was named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) libero of the week, while freshman Jennifer Duggan (Merrimack, N.H.) was selected as the CCC rookie of the week, as announced by conference commissioner Gregg Kaye on Tuesday afternoon.

Clancy had a terrific week in which she collected her 1,000th career dig while also moving into third place on the program's all-time digs list. Clancy helped lead the Seahawk's to a 2-1 week by averaging 7.22 digs and 0.22 aces over nine sets. Clancy closed out the week with a season-high 41 digs versus Rhoe Island College, while posting an .833 service percentage.

Duggan has enjoyed an excellent freshman campaign, and currently leads the Seahawks with 2.82 kills per set. She totalled 34 kills over 10 sets this week while compiling a .373 hitting percentage. Duggan was at her best during the Seahawks' two victories, recording a .680 hitting percentage with 18 digs and just one error over the six sets.

Clancy and Duggan have helped the Seahawks build a 3-0 record in the conference, and will be back in action on Saturday when they host the University of New England at 2 p.m.
