Marshall named CCC Coach of the Year

Marshall led the Seahawks to a program record 16 wins this season

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University women's volleyball head coach Lindsay Marshall was announced as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Coach of the Year on Thursday afternoon by conference commissioner Gregg Kaye.

Marshall has done a terrific job during her first two seasons as head coach at Salve Regina. She led the team to 12 wins during her first season, tying the program mark for victories. This season, Marshall and the Seahawks have shattered the program's record book, including earning a team record 16 wins on the year to this point. In addition, the team has also set the program season records for kills (1071), kills per set (10.60), attack percentage (.205), assists (958), assists per set (9.49), serve percentage (.869), and reception percentage (.868). 

Just this past Wednesday, Marshall led the Seahawks to their first ever CCC Championship victory with a 3-0 sweep over Wentworth during a quarterfinal round match up. Salve regina will return to the court tonight, traveling to face Endicott in the CCC semifinals for a 7 p.m. contest.
