QUINCY, Mass. - Salve Regina defeated Eastern Nazarene in the final game of the tri-match, 3-0 (25-15, 25-12, 25-22).
The Seahawks dominated the Lions with an offense that kept ENC off balance the entire match. Despite a late surge by the Lions in the third set, the Seahawks held on for the shutout victory and won their second match of the day, also in three straight sets.
Despite a strong performance by Amber Burns (Fall River, Mass.) (eight kills on 14 scoring attempts), Eastern Nazarene had no answer for the strong team play of Salve Regina, who had a team total of 13 kills on 31 attempts.
The Seahawks record jumps to 4-8 (2-0 TCCC). Eastern Nazarene College goes winless in the tri-match falling to 1-10 (0-2 TCCC).
